many things about search engine optimization of websites.
And this flood of information gives rise to confusion all the

Submitting your site to search engines will help you get more
visitors is an absoluely false notion. Its' hardly so easy
or automatic. If your web site is not properly optimized,traffic
will not be generated, no matter what you do. Make sure your
site is optimized with relevant keywords or key-phrases before
it is submitted to search engines. It will save your time, money
and energy.
Traditional advertising is better than search engine
optimization Nothing is better than using search engine
optimization techniques for your websites to rank high on
search engines. No amount of money spent on advertising can be
compared to or compete with a well optimized site that ranks
well on search engines. The reasons again are abvious. People
who find your web site through search engines are active,
focussed and open to buy or try what ever you have to offer.
Search engine traffic is worthy and qualified because the
visitors perform searches with a purpose when they find your
site.
Search engine leads (meaning visitors) are more potential than
traditional media advertising methods. Optimizing your web site
for high search engine rankings is the most cost-effective
advertising method for your business. And it is necessary to
make sure that your web site is optimized for search engines and
that it has many incoming links. Incoming links from websites
that rank high on search engines will help you move up the
search engine that much faster. If your web site is good in
these two areas, optimizing and incomeing links, you'll get many
targeted visitors from search engines and other web sites
without submitting your site to the search engines even once.
Hidden content technique or cloaking or doorway pages
worked in the past or do work with some search engines but in
time they won't work. These techniques will be considered as
Spam by all the search engines in future. So it in our interest
not to be tempted by these short cuts which will work
temporarily. Imagine waking up one morning to find your position
in search engines gone missing.
META tags alone will not improve your search engine
ranking. Since people have abused the meta keyword or
key-phrase tags a bit too often, most search engines don't
consider it anymore towards search engine ranking. Inktomi is
probably the last major crawler-based search engine that reads
the META Keywords tag. The META Description tag is still
worthwhile only because its description tag is what is displayed
on the search results pages of a few search engines.
